General Manager HR, Asia, Microsoft
As HR GM for Microsoft Asia, Sharif leads a business-aligned people strategy across the region aligned to Microsoft’s mission. He is focused on empowering his team to develop and advocate a diverse and inclusive culture and is a keen proponent of HR digital transformation and strategic talent management.
Sharif began his career at Microsoft in senior HR roles across 4 continents. Prior to his current role, he was a Senior HR Director for the Great China Region (GCR), dedicating his time to ensure the company is creating the right culture to attract, develop and retain the best talent in the industry.
Prior to working at Microsoft, Sharif worked as an HR professional with HSBC and other financial services and retail organizations.
Sharif holds a degree in Economics and Human Resource Management from the University of Toronto. He is the father of two children and enjoys running and ice hockey.
