Matthew Kimball, is an Australian National, studied Economics at the University of Canberra in Australia. Following graduation, he joined Accenture as a Management Consultant based out of the Sydney Office. He specialised in Human Performance and Change Management, leading the change programs for major cultural, process and systems reengineering initiatives as well as mergers and acquisitions. He worked with top tier businesses across Australia and the U.S in Financial Services, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Energy and Oil & Gas sectors.
Whilst working for Accenture, Matthew received an academic scholarship to complete his MBA from the Australian National University. He was Class President for his graduating year.
In 2002, Matthew joined Merck & Co. Inc (MSD) one of the world’s leading health solution providers of prescription medicines, vaccines, biologics therapies, animal health, and consumer health care products. Matthew joined Merck in Sydney and enjoyed a successful career holding large regional & global HR Executive Director roles in Australia, U.S, Singapore and the Netherlands. He provided HR leadership for start-up operations, divestitures and mergers as well as leading the Merck global HR Transformation program.
Matthew joined Shell Chemicals in February of 2014 as the Vice President of Human Resources and was based in London. Shell Chemicals is a global business with world-scale manufacturing facilities located around the world. Shell Chemicals ranks among the world’s top chemicals suppliers.
Matt is currently the HR Vice President for Royal Dutch Shell’s Global Commercial businesses serving one million business customers. The Global Commercial businesses –Lubricants, Aviation, Bitumen and Sulphur -are market leaders in their sectors. The business serves more than 150 markets and operates 42 plants, 3 shared business service centres, 4 technology centres and digital incubators.
He is an INSEAD certified International Director and is currently completing a graduate Diploma in Digital through IMD. He sits on the Advisory Board of the U.S start-up company, LeaderAmp, is a Non-Executive Director of Brunei Shell Marketing and a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
Matthew lives in Singapore, is married with 2 daughters. He is a passionate follower of Australian Rules Football and enjoys playing tennis, running and activities with his daughters.
