Head of People, Singapore, foodpanda
Stepping into her appointment as Head of Human Resources at foodpanda Singapore in January 2020, the Mannheim Business School alumni brought with her over nine years of professional experience in human resource management across multiple sectors including eCommerce (start-up), FinTech (start-up), and Supply Chain and Construction industries.
In her role, Judit oversees the people function, including talent acquisition, people operations, business partnering, and workplace management. She strongly believes in the importance of having a robust talent acquisition strategy. Since joining foodpanda, Judit has implemented a new talent acquisition framework that identifies and assesses talent around key panda values – namely a growth mindset, agility and humility – and a refined competency framework.
Commendably, responding quickly to the unique circumstances of 2020, she has also worked with the team to launch an innovative welcome kit that gamifies the onboarding experience of new talents to facilitate the immersion of the foodpanda culture remotely.
Judit’s initiatives champion a workplace that supports the fluid growth of employees and an environment that caters for life changes – offering lateral and vertical transitions and growth opportunities suited for employees’ needs, preferences and ambitions. This rigorous approach to people management and empowerment is built upon open conversations and pragmatic learning and development programmes for every level and designation, providing every individual a flexible, comprehensive and holistic journey within foodpanda.
In her free time, Judit recharges herself by taking advantage of the multiple park connectors and going on long hikes, and exploring hidden gems scattered about the island. This sense of adventure is also evident in Judit’s love for Star Wars since her childhood years. Till today, she applies memorable leadership lessons from the franchise to her personal and professional life. Most notably, Yoda’s famous quote “Do or do not, there is no try”, has become a philosophy that she has attributed for her resilience, resourcefulness and her ability to think of out-of-the-box solutions when faced with various challenges.
