Annella Heytens is Senior Vice President and Global Head of Human Resources of Coca-Cola’s Bottling Investments Group based in Singapore. She has over 20 years’ experience in human resources and business management experience with increasing levels of responsibility in human capital management, business management, financial analysis, and compensation and benefits.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, Heytens is responsible for over 25,000 employees across 14 locations. She provides overall vision, strategic and operational human resource leadership to the company. She also supports the execution of business strategies and plans through the implementation of people strategies and solutions that support short- and long-term business objectives. In addition, she drives organizational performance and business results by optimizing and expanding the capabilities of the workforce as well as designs and implements programs to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
Heytens joined Coca-Cola from Cisco Systems where she was the Vice President of Human Resources for Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China (APJC). She was responsible for over 21,000 employees across the APJC region.She provided HR leadership to the business, align the people strategy and drive the implementation of solutions to enable business performance. She spearheaded multiple business and HR transformations that supported the business growth objectives. Prior to this role in Cisco, Heytens was the Global Services and APJC Compensation and Benefits leader based in Bangalore, India. As part of the Global C&B Center of Excellence, Heytens led the C&B function for Cisco Services globally, the Cisco Globalization Center East in Bangalore, Asia Pacific and Japan. Heytens had direct responsibility for providing leadership and strategy for sales compensation, broad-based compensation, and benefits programs.
Prior to joining Cisco, Annella worked for Watson Wyatt as the Global Head of Research & Innovation Development located within Global Research and Innovation Services. Before undertaking this role, Heytens roles in Watson Wyatt included: International Practice Leader based in San Francisco, California; Asia Pacific Director of Data Services based in Jakarta, Indonesia; Managing Consultant, Shared Services Center based in Manila, Philippines; and Managing Consultant in Beijing, PRC. In addition to managing P&Ls and consultants, she consulted on a wide range of C&B issues, including sales and broad-based compensation, executive and stock-based compensation, benefits and retirement, human resources, performance management and human resources technologies. Prior to working for Watson Wyatt, Heytens worked in the areas of finance and IT in the Greater Washington DC Area in the United States. She also had a prior career in Nutrition and Dietetics. She holds Master’s Degrees from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts and Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
